January 5 to 8, 2006 ... Making Progress ... Little by little the place is emptying!
Pray as though everything depends on Heavenly Father, Act as though everything depends on us!!!!
Today was lots of details, packing and just plain work! I nearly got a hernia getting the couch down the stairs ...
seriously ... it took me 15 minutes before I was back to normal. I'm definitely out of shape!?!
Another thing to add to my resolutions ... release the excess weight and get back to a youthful shape!!
This is most incredibly necessary .. as a minimum for good health and long life ... not to mention just to look better!
I was surprised what has happened to me in the last two years! Talk about needing a new beginning and a rebirth ...
this MOVE must be exactly what is needed in my life to move myself to a higher level! After the day I've had its hard to wax philosophical.
So you'll be spared that. To give you just a glimpse of what it was like ... Well, pictures are worth a thousand words. Here are a few ...

January 4, 2006 ... When you're moving ... the whole world moves with you!!
Moving can be a metaphor for the birthing process ... the good news is that it can birth the Giant Within!!
This is the fifth household move for KatieRose & I! Each one had its unique challenge and destination potential. We have grown from each.
In one aspect, one could say that all of them together have been practise for this move to Hawaii!! All of the different aspects and skills we have learned
will most definitely come into play in this move, from releasing all of the 'stuff', to driving long distances (like across country!;-),
let's not forget visiting relatives, in IL & UT, along the way and finally the exhilarating feeling of adventure. As many of you know one of my
email addresses is adventure@ezrico.com. 'Adventure' has been a very key signiture word in KatieRose's life for years.
In one of my conversations with Dhal, he said that KatieRose has the reputation of getting bored with places after a short time ... except for Hawaii!!
Well this move should have the solution for that situation ... of course it will be interesting to see about how many times we'll move while in Hawaii and to which islands!!
This adventure opens up the whole Pacific to explore and visit ... Polynesia ... Australia ... just two which would be exciting!!
In packing, I came across a great book, which I've always taken with me on every move ... "Awaken the Giant Within" by Anthony Robbins.
I took some moments to reacquaint myself with this powerful, life changing and fundamentally interesting guide aimed at enabling us to reach our fullest potential.
With all of that ... I realized how little of the book I've actually fully read and internalized. Its been amazing that on every move or life altering experience over the
last 10 years or so, I've picked up this book. The intent has been to live to my fullest potential. If there was ever a time when that goal had to
be achieved, it most definitely is NOW!! I'm running out of time!! So added to my New Year's resolutions is to really get the models and systems in this book into my repertoire.
Just the thought of being at ones best coupled with a strong scriptural influence has got to be fantastic. Stay tuned ... we may both be surprised!!
January 3, 2006 ... A Nation of Sellers ... Where are the Buyers!!
Be without fear; Be brave and upright that God may love thee; Speak the truth & Safeguard the helpless!!
Well with the QUALITY we had ... we didn't need quantity!! A wonderful person, Aileen, came over (she's been meaning to come over to
play Chess for months ... even been trash talking me at KatieRose's Real Estate firm since she first heard that I played & liked Chess) what she found & bought
made the day! We did play several games and she even played two games with KatieRose's son Dhal (showed her Brooklyn, NY metal, with some keen attacks!).
Anyway we had a lifetime of experiences in just an afternoon. During our visit Aileen pointed out a wonderful thing "... the Redeemer already paid for our sins and
opened the Gates of Heaven for all of us ..." so why is it so difficult for us to be happy? The Lord has done the work. So we should show
our appreciation by following His commandments and principles to achieving Exaltation! If we have anything less than the image of ourselves as an infinite eternal being with
such capable power, we are essentially saying that we are not worthy, not made in His image and likeness and are not saveable!! If the Lord loves us and died for us,
why don't we live up to our fullest potential? God lives in each and every one of us ... so we are capable of great and marvelous accomplishments with the
Lord's assistance, and the guidance of His Holy Spirit! So let's get out there and be all that we can be!! AND recognize in who's image we are, where we came from and most importantly how to get
back Home with Honor and achieve the most cherished prize ... Exaltation!!
January 2, 2006 ... Well back to work ... for us it was moving!!
By the Holy Spirit's gift, we can recognize those treasures with which the Lord paves our way daily, as miracles!!
We are so BLESSED ... a wonderful Sister opened her apartment for us to stay in as we prepare our move.
NOT ONLY THAT!! ... she bought our 5 piece bedroom set, with the King size Somma bed and the 32" TV with DVD/VHS
and stand!! As it turns out she is going to move at the end of the month also since her husband is deployed to Iraq!
She and her husband felt that the timing was such that the LORD placed them there so that we could help each other!
We had help in bringing all of the stuff over there so we'd have a place to sleep tonite. Tomorrow is a big day ...
Our Moving Sale!! ... the response from the home page has been fair but the emails and flyers have been great. Its our intention
NOT to have anything other than books, clothes, computers my saxophone and kitchen stuff to take on this move ... that's obvious!!
The bulk of it all is being sent by Parcel Post, which we have found is the very best price.
Another fantastic miracle is that we have a great friend in Hawaii that is allowing us to send stuff to his address and he will put it
his garage till we can find a place of our own. This morning first thing, I found a fantastic job opportunity on my Career Builder
agent for a Software Developer Manager with an airline!! Now that would be the miracle of miracles!! to get that job!!
Anyway, we are sure that the Lord is paving our way before us as we proceed with this next phase of our senior adventure!!
New Year's Day 2006 ... Time for those wonderful Resolutions!!
Setting clear Goals - gives us targets to achive!
To start with there is the great triad: Mind, Body & Spirit! As in any rebirth process each of these areas has to be addressed and considered.
Then there are the social considerations Spiritual, Family & Professional! Making a matrix to include all of these
items ...
Well! you just may need a computer!!;-) ...

Well that about covers it!;-) ... The rest of the year is implementing a daily strategy to improve in all of these areas.
I pray that I will be more successful in the new year in all of these areas. This Loud Thinking is a definitely a process by which
one cannot forget the resolutions and covenant that is being made at the start of this powerful year!!
WE beseech Heavenly Father, in the name of His Precious Son, Jesus Christ, to assist US in EVERYWAY so that WE can especially Return Home with Honor!!

Today started by wishing my daughter, Denise, a Happy Birthday! She has two teenage children of her own,
so she needs all of the support she can get, especially at this time in her life!
In addition to preparing for the move to O'ahu, deciding what we are going to sell/take, I spent some time making this Blog templete.
We are encouraged to write our actions and thoughts in a Journal (now called - Blog! to be technically hip).
I found the term Loud Thinking by David Heinemeier Hansson,
which I think sounds so much better and has more of the classy sound of Journaling!
Tonite KatieRose and I will spend a quite evening at home alone conserving our energy and mentally preparing for the enormous effort of the coming month!!
This is a wonderful adventure and we are so looking forward to it.
We feel that the Lord has inspired this move and the way is paved with His Blessings!
